Deakin Projects
The IDR Prototype

The IDR Prototype displays end to end process of scanning a model, then implementing the model into the Producer Application for editing and customisation.

This will be the role of the Academic when creating a learning experience for the students. The final result is the viewer demonstrated in AR. The Producer and viewer were all developed in ThreeJS(js) and NodeJS.

Deakin Wayfinding

3D representation of the Deakin Waurn Ponds Building, maps out navigational possibilities utilised through phone devices. You are given options choosing between ISO view and firt-person view to navigate through the building using your phones location based technology which connects to CISCO servers and can view your selected destination in first person view as you navigate through the building.

As demonstrated in this video you will notice a line drwaing across to the destination you click within the building, this helps any new student, employee or faculty to find there destination intead asking multiple people

Deakin Avatar

In the last video, "Deakin Wayfinding" you would've spotted the positioning of avatars. These represent students that you will be able to see on your device walking or positioned in the building somewhere

This is another unity-based prototype project, a simple design of an avatar customisation system for students to use and edit their avatar which will be implemented into Virtual buildings to represent them. Students and faculty will be able to see their location on the map as avatars. An idea of a form of engagement and communication between the students to make experience interesting while there attending the university

Ocular Sim

Worked closely with academics and vendors to create an application based off the Humana eye. Students will engage with the model tagged with annotations to provide all the information about what the human eye is, and can do. The application will feature an assessment on what they have learnt in engaging with model's anatomy

My involvement in this project was to instigate the result of the model’s visual quality and UX design. This demonstrates the approach on how to develop the interaction for the movement of the eye and muscular control. They were contemplating on the approach whether it will be pre animated interaction or real-time as shown this video

Deakin VR

A virtual Reality demonstration of Deakins student central using Universities building's bluebrints to replicate the experince in a VR environment

A glimpse into the future of student interaction in a Virtual world space. Students will be able to experience the Universities campus through a 3D environment using VR devices. An Ability to communicate to co-students through this technology while studying overseas or locally without leaving there room
